What happened
- ONDC lets sellers reach buyers across many apps instead of being tied to one platform’s terms. Seller apps make full catalogues visible to all buyer apps [Parliament reply, PIB].

Background
- ONDC (Open Network for Digital Commerce) is a DPIIT-backed open protocol, built on the same idea as UPI: interoperability.
