The JANANI platform: what happened?

A pregnant woman may visit many clinics, often in different places if she migrates for work. Paper cards get lost. JANANI keeps one digital record that follows her and her child.

  • Covers antenatal care, delivery, postnatal care, newborn and young child care, and family planning.
  • Pan-India search helps migrant women continue care and avoids duplicate records.
  • RBSK 2.0 widens the 4Ds (Defects at birth, Diseases, Deficiencies, Developmental delays) to include NCD risk and mental health.
Back Story

What is a longitudinal health record?

  • A single record built over time from every service event, so a health worker can see the full history from pregnancy to childhood.
