Multi-Lane Free Flow tolling: what happened?

A normal toll plaza makes every vehicle slow down or stop. MLFF removes the barrier: cameras read the number plate and the FASTag, and the fee is collected as the vehicle moves. That saves time and fuel and cuts emissions at the plaza.

  • Users must keep enough FASTag balance.
  • With low balance or an invalid FASTag, users get an Electronic Notice for the unpaid fee.
  • E-Notices can be paid on nhfeenotice.parivahan.gov.in.
  • NHAI says MLFF also lowers the cost of building and running physical plazas.
