Nausena Shaurya Vatika opens in Lucknow
On 30 May 2026 the Raksha Mantri and the UP Chief Minister opened Nausena Shaurya Vatika in Lucknow, an open-air display museum built for Rs 19 crore over more than two acres. It shows weapons and artefacts of INS Gomati, decommissioned on 29 May 2022 after 34 years, and a walk-through TU 142M maritime patrol aircraft.
UPPCS angle: GS-VI: UP culture and tourism. Note the Defence Industrial Corridor reference: the Raksha Mantri said it is strengthening defence manufacturing in UP.
