On 7 April 2026 the UP Cabinet approved the final bid document for buying 25 lakh tablets to be given free under the Swami Vivekanand Yuva Sashaktikaran Yojana. The CM was authorised to approve changes in tender terms and device numbers, select bidders and issue purchase orders. The tablets go to students and trainees across courses.
