Bharat Taxi not yet in Purvanchal
In a Lok Sabha reply on 28 July 2026, the Ministry of Cooperation said Bharat Taxi, a cooperative ride app run by Sahakar Taxi Cooperative Limited under the MSCS Act 2002, was running in Delhi-NCR, Gujarat and Maharashtra, but had not been launched in Uttar Pradesh, including Purvanchal. The Government has spent nothing on it; STCL funds it.
