  • The Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation launched Jal Seva Aankalan on the Jal Jeevan Mission portal on 30 December 2025: a Gram Panchayat-led self-assessment of drinking water services [PIB].

Background

  • JJM was launched in 2019 to give every rural home a tap connection. Many panchayats are now certified Har Ghar Jal.
