India hosted the first BRICS MSME Forum and the third SME Working Group meeting in Agra on 19 June 2026 under the theme Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability. Separately, India will host the 11th BRICS Energy Ministers’ Meeting in Gurugram on 25–26 June 2026. This is India’s fourth BRICS chairship after 2012, 2016 and 2021.

BRICS MSME Forum in Agra and Energy Ministers meet: what happened?
Under India’s 2026 BRICS chairship, Agra hosted the first dedicated MSME forum while Gurugram prepares the energy ministers. Small firms and energy security sit on the same presidency calendar.
