Our attitude towards life, work, other people and society are generally shaped unconsciously by family and social surroundings in which we grow up. Some of these unconsciously acquired attitudes and values are often undesirable in the citizens of a modern democratic and egalitarian society. (a) Discuss such undesirable values prevalent in today’s educated Indians. (b) How can such undesirable attitudes be changed and socio-ethical values considered necessary in public services be cultivated in the aspiring and serving public servant ? Discuss.

जीवन, कार्य, अन्य व्यक्तियों तथा समाज के प्रति हमारी अभिवृत्तियाँ सामान्यत: लेकिन अचेतन रूप से, परिवार एवं उस सामाजिक परिवेश के द्वारा निर्मित हो जाती है, जिसमें हम बड़े होते है । अचेतन रूप से अर्जित कुछ अभिवृत्तियाँ एवं मूल्य प्राय: आधुनिक लोकतांत्रिक एवं समतावादी समाज के नागरिकों के लिए अवांछनीय होते हैं । (अ) आज के शिक्षित भारतीयों में विद्यमान ऐसे अवांछनीय मूल्यों की विवेचना कीजिए । (ब) ऐसी अवांछनीय अभिवृत्तियों को कैसे परिवर्तित किया जा सकता है तथा लोक सेवों हेतु आवश्यक समझे जाने वाले सामाजिक एवं नैतिक मूल्यों को आकांक्षी एवं कार्यरत लोक सेवकों में किस प्रकार संवर्धित किया जा सकता है ? विवेचना कीजिए ।
