NRAA’s rainfed-area data consultation: what happened?

Most Indian farmland is rainfed. Schemes for watersheds and climate risk need rainfall, soil, crop and socio-economic data. NRAA brought data producers and State users into one room to cut access frictions.

  • Objective: let research bodies show what they hold and let State line departments state what they cannot get.
  • Quality datasets named as needed: rainfall, soils, land use, water, crops, socio-economics, climate risks, watersheds and natural resources.
  • Two technical sessions structured the day.
